Driffield Karate Academy was established twelve years ago by Sensei Karen Turner 2^nd Dan. We are recognised by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council with their prestigious level 3 Accreditation, elite status.  This means the club meets specific requirements including: having a National Governing Body level 2 coach; all coaches and volunteers are first aid trained; demonstrating they have all their policies in place and have safeguarding children and disability awareness training.  

We accept students from the age of six years old (unfortunately students cannot be insured under this age) upwards, giving the young people of Driffield and the surrounding villages the chance to learn a disciplined sport in a safe environment.  Students also benefit as it improves self-esteem and gives them confidence as well as making new friends through the training and social events.  Of course some people use it as an enjoyable way of keeping fit.
